Training is vital to the relationship between you and your puppy. This is not only done to set expectations and provide the structure dogs thrive upon, but to mentally stimulate and build trust with our canine companions. To grow into a functional member of society, puppies must undergo a great deal of environmental exposure and some degree of socialization.

Contrary to what some believe, socializing a dog does not "dull their guardian instinct." It aids in teaching them the nuances of communication, in fact making them better at their job. When everything is new, things get scary. By depriving your dog of new experiences from an early age, you craft a time bomb of anxiety.

A dog that reacts to any and everything IS NOT PROTECTING YOU.

They are nervous.

When the day comes that you have to take your 100+ pound dog to the vet or there's a family emergency, you had better have them under control. You will not be the only one to pay the price.

This guide was made with the everyday owner in mind. It is not overly intricate-- all you need is time, transportation, and a leash. The point is not to overload your puppy's senses, so take your time and plan ahead. Your puppy will eventually mature, and you will reflect on the early days with pride. If you find yourself struggling with a particular exercise, seek a trainer or consult YouTube academy at your own discretion. Feel free to contact us through the form below.
